The rest of you will have to wait and win one via our Fantasy Football Tonight Podcast or come out and visit me at an NFL Training Camp or a Fantasy Football Convention near you.
KNOWSHON NO-SHOW NO MORE
The Broncos and first round pick Knowshon Moreno agreed today on a 5 year $23 million contract. Just in time for Moreno to get in and compete for the starting RB role which no other candidate has taken a step up for in his absence.
FIRST ROUND HOLDOUTS
Moreno's signing leaves just seven unsigned first round draft picks. Considering we are already a week to two weeks into camp, this is starting to become a problem for both the teams and the players. It is well known that the longer a rookie hold-out the less likely he is to make an impact in his first season. Here are the remaining holdouts who were chosen in the first round:
#4 - Aaron Curry - LB -- Seattle Seahawks
#6 - Andre Smith - OT -- Cincinnati Bengals
#8 - Eugene Monroe - OT -- Jacksonville Jaguars
#9 - B.J. Raji - DT -- Green Bay Packers
#10 - Michael Crabtree - WR -- San Francisco 49ers
#11 - Aaron Maybin - DE -- Buffalo Bills
#14 - Malcon Jennings - CB -- New Orleans Saints

Did you know that the 1st 16 picks make more money than 17-252 (or however many picks there are)? I think it's outrageous that some of these guys (*coughMICHAELCRABTREEcough*) are holding out, knowing damn well that no one should be making millions of dollars for a (admittedly grueling) sport. Just sign the damn contract and get into camp; you know you need the time! There's a reason JaMarcus Russel still sucks, y'know...
