The Guru Gridiron Report: Week 6 Bench/Start WRs & TEs

Week 6 comes as a very important week. For allot of managers its a make or break week towards a championship. Four important, but not overly important teams or on the BYE and will affect rosters. They are the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs. Hopefully you are able to back the few lost players up. Here are our week 6 picks.

WIDE RECEIVERS YOU MUST START
We have to say start Roddy White this week as we think the Chicago defense will contain the run, but not Roddy. Andre Johnson had a breakout week last week and even with Schaub returning we expect him to have another big week, so start him. Bernard Berrian is coming off a big week and should fine plenty of action against Detroit. We really like Robert Meachem this week, he is simply too fast for the Raiders defense. We said Bench Santana Moss last week and this week we say start him. Don't give up on Brandon Marshall! Start him. Finally, Steve Breaston and Larry Fitzgerald will be all over the field on Sunday.

Others: Reggie Wayne, Terrell Owens, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Greg Jennings, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Jerricho Cotchery, Lavernues Coles, DeSean Jackon, Randy Moss, Plaxico Burress, Braylon Edwards

TIGHT ENDS YOU MUST START

Jason Witten, Antonio Gates, Chris Cooley, Visanthe Shiancoe, Zach Miller Benjamin Watson, Kellen Winslow

Other Wide Receivers To Consider Starting With Some Risk
Kevin Walters had a slow week last week, but look for him to pick it up against Miami at home. Marvin Harrison has been ineffective most of this season, but he is an excellent matchup against Baltimore. With Kitna out its hard to recommend any Detroit WRs, but we think Calvin Johnson should do OK. Lance Moore went from 2 TDs, to zero, but if you ned to plug him in, do it. Steve Smith should have an OK game against the Tampa 2 defense, but don't expect any deep balls. Again, we like Ike! Ike Hillard should get another TD this week. Reggie Williams will find the end zone against Denver.

Others: Devin Hester, Javon Walker, Amani Toomer, Matt Jones, Bryant Johnson, Muhsin Muhammad , Chad Johnson, Wes Welker, Vincent Jackson, Brandon Stokley, Donald Driver, Sinorice Moss, Chris Chambers (Doubtful)

Other Tight Ends To Consider Starting With Some Risk

Mercedes Lewis, John Carleson, Donald Lee, Dustin Keller

Please Bench These Wide Receivers
Bench Roy Williams. He will fine no opening without Kitna at the helm. Another great receiver you have to bench is Torry Holt. It just won't happen this week.

Others: Patrick Crayton, Reggie Brown, David Patten, Isaac Bruce, Dante Stallworth, Joey Galloway, Dane Looker, DJ Hackett, Roy Williams, Ronald Curry, Eddie Royal (injury)

Please Bench These Tight Ends

Todd Heap, Alge Crumpler, Dante Rosario, Vernon Davis, Tony Scheffler (Out with injury), Kevin Boss

Sleeper Wide Receivers
Look for Early Doucet to get many pass targets from Warner against the Cowboys. At least 7-8 should go his way. On the other side we see the Cowboys using Austin Miles more and primarily to get a score. Probably only 3-4 targets, but 2 of them should be bombs and 1 score. Chansi Stuckey hasn't scored in a few weeks, so watch out for week 6 and a TD for Stuckey. Finally Brandon Llyod should re-insert himself into the Chicago offense and perform well against Detroit poor defense.

Good luck. Next are our Defenses!

Doesn't Bo Scaife have a bye week?

hanks for spotting that Andy. Sometimes with TE's we copy and paste the names over and then change them based on the week;y matchups. We just missed removing Scaife. That happens a few times a year with TEs and even defenses.
