Darren McFadden Out 2-4 Weeks With Knee Injury
The Oakland Raiders season just keeps getting worse. After actually resembling an NFL franchise in the first two weeks of the season, the Raiders have taken giant leaps backwards the past couple of weeks. This fall can be attributed to many things including poor performance, bad coaching, off the field distractions and now injuries.
Starting RB Darren McFadden will miss the next 2-4 weeks at least after tearing the meniscus in his right knee in Sunday's game against the Texans. It hasn't been confirmed if this is a partial or full tear but the timetable of his return suggests this is just a partial tear that may not require surgery. Still, this puts another damper on what is shaping up to be another horrible season for both McFadden and his Raiders teammates.
Michael Bush and Justin Fargas now enter into a split carry backfield situation as the team will likely use Fargas as a weapon on outside runs and in pass catching situations while Bush will stick to his short yardage and goalline carries. The Raiders have a bye in week 9 so don't expect McFadden to be back before week 10.
I'll have plenty of RB options for you in The Hot 8 on Wednesday, don't worry.
