Fantasy Football Tonight 7/12
SUNDAY'S ARE GOOD AGAIN!
No, football isn't back quite yet but the HBO hit show Entourage is and that is a very good thing. There isn't anything quite like cracking a bottle of wine and watching these four guys from Queens live the high life of nailing every starlet in L.A. and throw money around like it was dust on a rug. Tonight's episode was everything you could ask for. A 30-something Hollywood movie star learning how to drive a car, then screwing a hot blonde in the backseat just moments later. Turtle in a tub with Jamie Lynn-Sigler and plenty of hilarious lines from Drama like, "You should have seen what chicks were willing to do to me to get into the premiere of Young Guns 3D." What did you guys think of tonight's episode?
I HAVEN'T SAID THIS IN AWHILE...
...But Brett Favre is going to be the starting QB for the Minnesota Vikings. Don't bother reading another stupid article by Ed Werder or anybody else saying how Favre and the Vikings staff were doing this or that. I told you all a month ago that this was a done deal and it is. So, please for the sake of sanity, stop paying attention to the Brett Favre stories and acting like there is any chance on earth that he doesn't play football for the Vikings next year.
GIANTS WR'S
A lot is being said about Mario Manningham stepping up and filling the vacated role of Plaxico Burress in 2009. Folks, that is not going to happen. Manningham is a decent player, but he's not a superior WR by any means. In fact, I would rate him as the sixth best WR on the team right now behind Domenik Hixon, Hakeem Nicks, Steve Smith, Ramses Barden and Derek Hagan.
Speaking of Derek Hagan, I really like him to make the Giants squad this season. This guy is as sure handed as they come and uses his body well to shield defenders and make tough catches. If he can establish a connection with Eli Manning during training camp and earn the QB's trust, he very well could become the go to player many think Steve Smith will be this season.
Right now however Domenik Hixon looks like he should be the first Giants WR taken in fantasy drafts. He has a nice blend of height and blazing speed to beat defenders downfield. If he can keep his concentration and focus on catching the football he can have himself quite a season.
