The True Guru Bids Farewell To 2009, Takes Home 2nd Championship
Well, its been a long season, and it is finally over. The True Guru start the season in 6 published leagues and in the end took home two championships. Of course, to all of us fantasy football is about more than championships. its not just winning, but it the fun adults get playing a game and not being called a child for doing it. its the fun of smack talking your friend because you beat him so badly. Its the joy of waking up every Sunday with a renewed vigor to win that day.
I've had a blast playing fantasy football this year and its been even more fun because I got to share it with all of you on my blog. I will be back next year to share another exciting season with you and give you the ups and downs of playing fantasy football in this crazy world.
For week 17 I had to matchups left. One was for a title, the other for third place. I won them both.
Fantasy Dynasty VI
LV Cowboys 273, Abraham Drinkin' 261
I joined this league in its sixth season. It is a full blown keeper league and I inherited a healthy league. I won 9 games during the season finishing 9-5. It was a very exciting playoffs where I barely won both my matchups, and needed every point to do so. The championship went down to the wire and I have to say was one of the best I've ever played. I have to give love to Abraham Drinking. S. Hallam had a great season as well and came from the depths to come within 12 points of a championship. Congrats.
My other matchup was the third place match for the Coast 2 Coast league. Here is how I finished in all my leagues this season:
Vegas Vs Texas League - League Champion
Coast 2 Coast League - 3rd Place
J.A.I.L. League - 3rd Place
NSP Experts League - 4th Place
Fantasy Dynasty VI League - League Champion
Fantasy Football Search Expert League - 4th place.
Overall, I made the playoffs in every league and managed to win two championships. My hat goes off to all the teams I faced in all the leagues. You all helped make it a fabulous year and I can't wait till next season.
