The True Guru Scouting Report: Tony Romo
UPGRADED: FVR: 9.1
Tony Romo is back from a 4 week vacation with a broken pinky. In his Sunday night game against the Washington Redskins he wore a lightly taped brace. He is clearly still healing and the brace effected some of his passes. Overall we'd say he looked better than expected. Allot of people are complaining about the fact that he had a poor fantasy performance with 198 yards, 2 INTs, and a TD. We think it was a fantastic performance even know it was his lowest socring output of the season. Here's the reasons why:

Allot of people are complaining about the fact that he had a poor fantasy performance with 198 yards, 2 INTs, and a TD. We think it was a fantastic performance even know it was his lowest socring output of the season. Here's the reasons why:
- It was The Washington Redskins at FedEx Field - This is a division rival game. It one of the toughest division rival games and the Redskins have a great defense. So expecting too many points was crazy. If you look back at the last meetings between the teams the Cowboys are lucky to get into the twenties especially in Washington. Earlier in the year they got 24 points in DALLAS! So regardless of Romo's health and effectiveness a ton of points weren't expected.
- Romo was rusty - You have to consider the fact that he was going to be rusty after not playing for 4 weeks. It was expected and it showed.
- One INT wasn't his fault - One INT popped out of Terrell Owens hands and had nothing to do with Romo.
- The pinkie will heal - We all know the pinkie is still healing and next week it will be stronger. For now, he can't throw deep or at least often, so his yards will go down and the Cowboys will keep all plays 20 yards for less for the most part.
- Marion Barber - Marion Barber was great last night and he dominated the 4th quarter, so Romo wasn't needed late in the game.
- Jason Witten - Witten is hurt with broken ribs. They are healing and each week he will get stronger and more dependable for Romo.
Next week is a huge test for Romo. He will take on the 49ers in Dallas and he should have a big game. His pinkie will still be a factor, but should feel much better. Have no fear in starting Romo next week.
