True Guru Scouting Report: Matt Cassel & Brett Farve
We wanted to cover these three players, especially before week 12 because they are changing in value rapidly. We've done allot of scouting on these guys this season and recently and this is what we have for you.
Matt Cassel QB, New England Patriots FVR: 8.4 - @ Miami week 12. This will be a tough matchup for Cassel. He has been rapidly improving, so allot of owners are considering starting him. Our view is to be very careful in your selections. Cassel will certainly get some points, but he is still relatively unknown as to what he will do and is still inconsistent. Back in week three the much less expereinced Cassel only threw for 131 yards and a TD and 1 pick. We expect much better numbers this week, but don't expect some huge game. We are looking for 180, and 1-2 TDs. He's a solid start, but won't explode. We do like Cassel's matchups weeks 14-16 (Playoff weeks) where he faces Seattle, Oakland, and Arizona. He could help you win a championship. Maybe everything will be OK in the world with a New England quarterback leading you to a championship?
Brett Farve QB, New York Jets FVR: 8.4 - @ Tennessee. If anyone can beat the Titans, it's the NY Bretts. We were very high on Farve coming into the season and he's been wild most of the year and somewhat inconsistent. The good thing is in many cases its not his fault. Take the St. Louis game. That game was over 10 minutes in and passing wasn't really much of an option at 40-0. He has also under performed because he wasn't quite on the same page in the playbook with his team. However, that has now changed and Farve is sparkling. We expect 250 yards and 2 TDs from Farve. The Titans will limit Jones's production forcing Farve to pass. He also has a nice playoff schedule with @ San Francisco, Vs. Buffalo, and week 16 @ Seattle. He's could start all 3 games for you fantasy team.
