Fantasy Playoffs Weeks 14-16 NFL Strength of Schedule Analysis

Written By AJ "The Guru Eh!" Pelletier

Here is the Strength of Schedule for weeks 14-16 (17) I am going to explain how I came up with the numbers. A team is rewarded 1 point for a win, 2 points for a high scoring offensive output and 1 point if the game is played in a warm weather climate or venue. If I predict the team is to score an average or below average amount of points in the game then they will only receive 1 point. A perfect game is 4 points and what you will soon see is that the Indianapolis Colts have a perfect schedule for those weeks.
IMPORTANT: If a team has a very low number it doesn’t mean that the running backs don’t have great value. Check comments on the Buffalo Bills. Check the spreadsheets for all the numbers broken down week to week for each team

TOP 5 SCHEDULES
COLTS = 12: The Colts I predict have the easiest schedule and with two home games back to back in week 14 and 15 against the Bengals and Lions. Trust me neither cat will keep this game close as for the first time in a long while the Manning and crew has to win games late in the year to make the playoffs. In week 16 a game in sunny Jacksonville will mean a lot more to Indy than to the Jags.
CARDINALS = 11: They too have aback to back home games on week 14 and 15 against the Rams and the Vikings followed by a cold weather game in New England.
SAINTS = 10: The high scoring Saints will be at home to the Falcons, then in chilly Chicago and the in Detroit on week 16.
VIKINGS = 10: Starting on the road for the first two in Detroit and then Arizona they then continue their quest for the playoffs with a game at home against Atlanta.
49ers = 10: In week 14 the 49ers host the Jets and then travel to Miami and then to their division rival the St. Louis Rams.

THE REST OF THE NFL

FALCONS = 8 – 3 tough games against teams with playoffs hopes; 2 divisional match ups and 2 on the road.
RAVENS = 7 – 3 very tough games against 3 highly ranked teams with great defenses.
BILLS = 3 – 2 cold weather games and another in week 17. Lynch will see a lot of carries.
PANTHERS = 7 – 2 home games and then playing the Giants when they might be on glide.
BEARS = 6 – All 3 games at home in the cold against the well tanned Jags, the boyz on Mardi gras and the cheese heads.
BENGALS = 6 – Ugly Schedule for all 3 games
BROWNS = 7 – 2 away games and then home to the Bengals.
COWBOYS = 8 – In very tough as they start with a road game in Pittsburgh and then home to the Giants and Ravens.
BRONCOS = 9 – Decent teams to score against and should look to surpass team scoring records.
LIONS = 6 – Will lose all three in ugly fashion.
PACKERS = 9 – Average schedule with the only question being can Rodgers close out the season.
TEXANS = 9 – Two road games finishing in Oakland in week 16.
JAGUARS = 6 – From winning the super bowl (predictions were they would to finishing close to 500% while teams they play continue to play beyond week 17.
CHEIFS = 8 – week 13 in Oakland, 14 Denver and home to San Diego in week 15. With everyone scoring against the AFC WEST the chiefs will do the same.
DOLPHINS = 9 – Very soft schedule as they do play in cold but against 3 teams not going to the playoffs.
PATRIOTS = 9 – Soft start in Seattle then Oakland, finishing in Arizona while the Cards will be already preparing for their playoff berth.
GIANTS = 9 – Tough match ups against Philly, on the road in Dallas and then home to Carolina.
JETS = 9 – In San Fran and Seattle while week 15 splits them at home to the Bills
RAIDERS - 6 – Lose, lose and lose. Enough said baby.
EAGLES = 8 – 2 divisional games on the road with a home game against the Browns.
STEELERS = 7 – games against 3 playoff hopefuls.
CHARGERS = 9 – Games against the Raiders, Chiefs, and then they travel to sunny in Tampa Bay. A very good schedule to score points for fantasy teams and pick up some needed late season fantasy wins.
SEAHAWKS = 7 – Home to the Pats and Jets with a road game against the lowly Rams.
RAMS = 8 – In Arizona then home for two division battles against Seattle and San Fran.
