The Guru Gridiron Report: Week 10 Bench/Start Defenses

Week 10 is a week allot of Dallas Cowboy player owners have been waiting for, but at this point that is good cause it means Romo is back next week. Hopefully the ailing Cowboys will heal and get ready for the stretch run. This weeks BYE teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, Washington Redskins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is not only the last week for BYEs, but it marks the week we call "The Stretch Run". It also begins with a series of Thursday games, which means you need to watch your teams much closer and sooner then you will be use too. This Thursday's game is Denver at Cleveland. Here are our picks for week 10:

DEFENSES AND YOU MUST START
We love the NY Jets this week against St. Louis at home. Bulger will be on his back all day. We also like Houston this week as well against Baltimore, start them. Arizona is another must start against San Francisco at home. Green Bay is another team you have to start this week against Minnesota. Jacksonville has been bad lately, but if Culpepper starts for Detroit, start them!

Others: Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New England, New York Giants, Carolina, Tennessee

Other DEFENSES To Consider Starting With Some Risk
This week there are a few risk starts on defense. One is the Cleveland defense. They are playing the train wreck Broncos and they are very good at home, so we like the start. It is a risk though. Baltimore is a solid start against Houston, but Houston can put up some points. San Diego has a good matchup, but they are San Diego, so beware if you decide to start them. Detroit is at home against Jacksonville and can produce some nice points on defense assuming they play well. Its a deep start, but worth the risk.
Others: Minnesota, Buffalo, New Orleans

Please Bench These DEFENSES

Atlanta , St. Louis, Kansas City, Seattle, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Oakland

Sleeper Defenses

We have two great sleeper defenses for you. The first is the Miami defense vs. Seattle. They are at home and could very well shut Seattle out. Great start if you need it and one of the best of the week. The other is a deep sleeper for week 10 and its Denver's defense against Cleveland. If Quinn comes out nervous and weak, Denver can exploit that for some big points. This matchup will be decided by Quinn and not the Bronco's defense as far as points are concerned.
