The Guru Gridiron Report: Week 11 Bench/Start Quarterbacks

NO MORE BYE WEEKS! We may be rid of the BYE weeks, but the new challenge is weather. Since we can only check forecasts, we cannot truly determine the weather until game time. We always tell our readers to examine the weather very closely and start/bench according. We do make our recommendations based on expected weather, but that can change. Also keep an eye on your injured players. This is the time of the year where guys play hurt and don't play good. We will let you know who those guys are. Good luck in week 11.

QUARTERBACKS YOU MUST START
We only have a few must start quarterbacks this week because of the tough defensive matchups. We do love Matt Ryan this week against Denver. Him and Jay Cutler should be in a shootout, so start them both. Donovan McNabb will throw at will against Cincy's defense in a must win situation for Philadelphia. Our risky call of the week is a must start of Tyler Thigpen against New Orleans. The Chiefs are at home and Drew Bree will be putting up points that Thigpen must match.

Others: Peyton Manning, Jake Delhomme, Drew Brees, Kurt Warner

Other Quarterbacks To Consider Starting With Some Risk
Sage Rosenfel was a risk last week and he is a risk this week. You almost have to start him if he is your #1 quarterback. He should have a solid game against the Colts. Brett Farve and Matt Cassel will both have average games, but don't expect much out of either. Feel good about starting David Garrard. He is a solid matchup against the Titans and he is at home. Tony Romo is back and we expect him to have a good game, but there is risk that its him first game back and a tough defense in Washington. We would start him.

Others: Eli Manning, Kerry Collins, Chad Pennington, Jeff Garcia, Ben Roethlisberger

Please Bench These Quarterbacks
We have a few must bench quarterbacks and the biggest of them all is Phillip Rivers. Going west to east coast is bad enough, but he is going to Pittsburgh and its weather. Bench him. Kerry Collins will have a below average game Vs. Jacksonville, he's not worth starting. Brady Quinn looks good last week, but the honeymoon is over. Bench him this week against an angry Buffalo defense.

Others: Joe Flacco, Jason Campbell, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Flacco, Gus Frerotte

Sleeper Quarterbacks
We feel that Matt Hasselbeck will be playing this week and if he does we think he can have a huge game against Arizona on the road. Keep an eye on his status, but so far it looks very good for him to start.

Good luck. Next are our Runningbacks!
