The Guru Gridiron Report: TTG goes 6-0 In Week 11, Clinches 2 More Playoff Spots!

Leagues: 6 (3 Yahoo!, 2 CBS Sportsline, 1 ESPN)
Total Record: 44-22 (.667 Winning Percentage)
* Clinched Playoff spot
** Clinched BYE week in first round of playoffs

Wow, what a week for me. After 4 straight weeks of going 3-3 to 1-5, I broke out of my slump with a huge week. In week 12 I think I did it all. First I broke three 3-game losing streaks in the J.A.I.L., Dynasty, and FFS Expert league. I also had a game decided by less then .03 points or in fantasy football terms, 3 yards. Then I had a crucial must win matchup against a top division foe and soon to be rival and edged him out by 2 points. Overall, it was the best week of t year for me and one I must savor. Let's go into detail about the games.
Here are my six matchups for week 12:

Coast 2 Coast League **
LV Cowboys 101.17 , The Scorpions 100.89
What a tight matchup. The difference in this game was two plays. On the side of The Scorpions it was the last minute INT by the Cardinals defense that gave him a nearly 3 point lead and his day was over wit that score. All that I had left in this NON-PPR league was Jason Witten Sunday night. He barely eked out not even 3 points for the win. I admit The Scorpions needed the win more then I do, but I cruised to my 10th win and I've already clinched a playoff spot in this league at 10-1. The key for this victory was I clinched a BYE week with the win.

Football Dynasty VI
LV Cowboys 246, Ugly Roster 204

After losing three games in a row after winning 6 of my first 7 I admit my team was on Suicide watch. This week we got back Tony Romo and next week hopefully Reggie Bush. This week I took on a tough competitor and for most of the game I was losing. Then my defensive players turned it on and Romo can in and got enough to take me over the top. Shaun Hill and Micheal Turner also did awesome jobs leading my team to victory. Duece McCallister did nearly nothing, but get a TD. I did bench Peyton Hillis in his spot, and that was my lone mistake.

J.A.I.L. League
The True Guru 108, Jersey Hitman 106
I now consider Jersey Hitman a rival and of course a friend. What a tight matchup. This one went all the way to the Sunday night game. I was down 106-100 with Witten and Shaun Suisam left and I got 8 points from the two. Not only was this a huge win in a league where I was on a 3-game losing streak, but it pretty much clinched a playoff berth. There are 8 playoff spots and only 10 (of 14) teams left to get them. I should clinch next week. My key performances were Dwayne Bowe, Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Slaton. That trio got me 61 points.

Vegas Vs Texas League *
Lv Cowboys 147, TITS 102
This was a playoff clinching win for me and it also gave me back the division lead with LV Ravens losing. I had a huge day from Marshawn Lynch and really that was it. Eli Manning did poorly for me and so did Brain Westbrook. The rest of my team did its job and secured enough points to win. My bench nearly outscored my team as I decided to start Andre Johnson or Brandon Marshall over Marion Barber. I out thought myself this week in this league, but managed to win against the worst team in the league THIS SEASON.

NSP Experts League *
FF Search 114, WinningAngle.com 90
This is the only league I won last week and I remained strong this week. I clinched a playoff berth in my 3rd league with this win. Joseph Addai was huge for me and really won this game with a 30 point day. My WR core of DeSean Jackson, Wes Welker, and Brandon Marshall managed to scored 41 points total without a TD catch. Overall it was a completely strong performance from my team. I'm tied for a BYE week in this league, but I'm losing the tie-breaker. So the last two games matter big time.

Fantasy Football Search Expert League
Fantasy Football Search 100, Mock Draft Central 93
Another 3-game losing streak ended. I had a huge day with Thomas Jones, Lance Moore, and the Eagles defense. I needed this win badly. I'm still in the playoff hunt, but I must win out and others must lose to make it. Next week should separate the pack a bit so we can see more clearly. Right now I'm tied for 2 place with three teams tied for first. Technically, I'm in 6th place, but only 1 game out of first. That's how tight our division is.
