Fantasy Football Search Introduces its Fantasy Value Rating System (FVR)

Fantasy Football Search and its leading analyst The True Guru have always had a secret formula for rating fantasy football players. Until now we have not shared it with the public, but we are now ready to introduce it. The formula is base on 11 herbs and spices, wait! Sorry, just had lunch. The formula is based on several factors that effect the players fantasy value such as health, stats, playing level, schedule, team, skills, etc... With those we develop a rating from 1 to 10 on the players value. 1 be terrible and 10 being an absolute stud. Here is a breakdown of the system:

1 - 2.5 CUT THE PLAYER

2.6 - 5.5 - Bench or cut depending on needs, free agency, etc..

4.0 - 5.5 - Sell the player if their is a buyer and get what you can. Players at this level normally don't come back and aren't worth keeping if someone else is willing to take them.

5.6 - 7.4 - Only start the player as a BYE week fill in or if he is in the higher scale, start him if he has a great matchup. These are the 3rd tier position/flex players.

5.6 - 6.5 - If a player is in this range you don't have to trade him, but it's wise to shop him and see if anyone is biting. Especially if he's been downgraded allot.

4.0-6.5 - TRADE THE PLAYER. Depending on which end he is on depends the value of the deal. Players on the higher end you may want to acquire.

7.6-8.5 - Average start. These are the players that are a bit inconsistent, but still are worth starting and can put up points. Basically, guys you have to start, but sometimes you wish you had better options. Players on this scale are also ones that you may want to acquire as their value is low enough to get a good deal, but high enough to make an impact. Of course that rule applies to individual players, depending on their situations.

8.6-9.4 - MUST STARTS.

9.5 - 10 - ABSOLUTE STUDS. Maximum value players.

We will start including our Fantasy Value Rating (FVR) in our weekly review posts for the week. For the past couple of weeks we've been letting you know whether a player is UPGRADED or DOWNGRADED. Now that will be followed by their FVR (i.e. 8.5).

If you have any questions or you would like to know a players FVR email us at info@fantasyfootballsearch.com and we will answer your questions.
