Week 2 Bench/Start Quarterbacks Guru Style!
Note: Due to a funeral on Thursday we are releasing our picks 1 day early.
OK everyone here are our week 2 picks at QB. Week 1 is the hardest week in the season to pick since there are so many intangibles. This week things have come a little more clear to us.
We will start with our must starts. These are the guys you have to start and have no choice but to start.
Tier 1 MUST STARTS
Aaron Rodgers - We were high on him from the start, and even higher after what he did to Minnesota's defense.
Eli Manning - Did you see what McNabb did to St. Louis last week? Eli won't do that, but he should have a great game.
Jay Cutler - With Royal and Marshall he will be so good.
Tony Romo - He is always a must start.
Brett Farve - Even know Farve isn't involved in this rivalry, he will start now. The Jets are salivating at the chance to defeat New England at home.
Kurt Warner - At home against Miami, uh yea.
Phillip Rivers - He did great in his first game. Look for a shoot out in Denver.
Ben Roethlisberger - Only if he's healthy.
Donovan McNabb - I hate to do this with his inconsistency, but he will be in a shootout with Romo.
Drew Brees - He will throw allot against the Redskins.
Here are are quarterbacks that you should start even know there is a little risk with them. They all should perform well and get you some points. Some could have big games.
Tier 2 SHOULD START
Derek Anderson
Jason Campbell SLEEPER
Peyton Manning
Carson Palmer
John Kitna
Marc Bulger
J.T. O'Sullivan SLEEPER
Matt Schaub
Brian Griese
Here are the HIGH RISK PLAYERS to high to call
Jake Delhomme - We aren't sold on him and he's going home to face a resurgent Chicago defense. We would recommend benching him at this point.
Chad Pennington - We liked what we saw last week, but don't expect that against the Cardinals at home.
Matt Cassel - OK, so he's the next Tom Brady? No. They will run allot more, but when Cassel gets comfortable he should be good. He's a solid start against the Jets, but still a risk.
Tavaris Jackson - We have to admit we liked what we saw from Jackson. He's a risk to start this week, but keep an eye on him for the future.
David Garrard - Until he gets more receivers he's a risk. We love him this year, but he needs healthy WRs. He's a solid start this week and we'd start him.
Now, here are the guys you have to BENCH.
Tier 4 MUST BENCH
Trent Edwards
Matt Ryan
Kerry Collins
Matt Hasselbeck
Klye Orton
Our runningbacks are coming next.
