Week 2 Bench/Start Defenses & Kickers Guru Style!

As we expected in week 1, some defenses surprised up both positively and negatively. There were some like the Vikings defense who did much worse then expected and some like Buffalo that did much better.

WEEK 2
Here are our defenses that you have to start.

TIER 1 MUST START
Chicago - They are back and they are good.
Jacksonville
Arizona SLEEPER

Now there are some great tier 2 defenses that you should start if you have them on your roster.
Tier 2 SHOULD START
Tennessee
New York Giants
Baltimore
Pittsburgh
Washington SLEEPER - Could surprise at their home opener against a beat up Saints offense.
Indianapolis
Dallas - McNabb will not see the same success in Big D.
Minnesota - We see a big comeback for the Vikings at home.
San Francisco SLEEPER
New York Jets SLEEPER
Tampa Bay - They can stop Turner

Here are the High risk, high reward defenses that all have a high risk tag on them right now. We consider them our Tier 3 defenses. Very hard to call.
Tier 3 - RISK CALLS
Carolina - They looked good for a half against San Diego. We do not think they are for real, so even know its Chicago we say bench them.
New England - Big risk. Less offense, and a hungry Jets team on the road. Not for us.
Houston - This might actually be a good week to start them. At least they have NFL film on Joe Flacco.

Now we are at the must bench portion. People tend not to like our Tier 4 defense picks because their DEF may be here, but this is what we think for week 2.
Tier 4 MUST BENCH
Philadelphia
San Diego
Miami
Denver
Cincinnati
Detroit

We are no longer going to do kickers. They are way to hard to predict. and most teams only have one anyway. If you need to find a kicker cause of a BYE week base your decisions on 3 factors:

1. Is the kicker kicking in a Dome? (that's good)

2. Is the Defense the kicker facing a tough defense?

3. Is the kicker's offense very good?
