Week 13 START/BENCH players GURU Style!
Week 12 brings tough match ups for the good QBs and RBs, but provides for WRs and TES. Does that make sense? Yes, and we will show you.
(Sleepers will not appear in this blog. If you do not see a player, read our sleeper blog for this week.)
QUARTERBACKS
1st Tier Quarterbacks MUST Start:
Drew Brees
Peyton Manning
Ben Roethlisberger
Derek Anderson
Tony Romo
Kurt Warner
Phillip Rivers
2nd Tier Quarterbacks You have to Start:
Matt Hasslebeck
Tom Brady - This is not Brady's best week. He'll throw maybe 2 TDs and 275 yards.
Matt Schaub
Eli Manning
David Garrard
Jason Campbell
Jon Kitna
Brett Farve
Jeff Garcia
Jeff Garcia
Jay Cutler
3rd Tier Quarterbacks Start At Your Own Risk (Big Payoff or Big Fall):
Carson Palmer - In Pittsburgh. He's getting better, but I think this will be more of a grudge match. Starting Palmer is a tough call, but you have too.
Marcc Bulger - He's hurt and if he's smart he won't play this week. He has a good match up, but one hit could take him out. I'd stay away.
Trent Edwards - Washington is hurting from the loss of a fellow teammate. They will be playing this game for Taylor, but how much heart will they have, and how badly will they miss Taylor as a shutdown safety?
Harrington - I would never recommend starting Harrington, so the risk is simple. Good match up on turf, but he's Joey.
Kellen Clemens & John Beck - 2 bad defenses and to bad teams. Miami will get its first win of the season, and we think these two guys will throw allot. We don't recommend starting them unless you are in a super deep 14 team league or something like that.
Drew Brees - If Haynesworth plays, Brees will be in trouble against Tennessee on the road. However, he has played well. Watch if Haynesworth plays and make your decision based on that.
Kyle Boller - After what AJ Feely did, why not Boller and at home!
4th Tier Quarterbacks MUST BENCH:
Rex Grossman
Duante Culpepper
Vince Young
Brodie Croyle
Philadelphia QB
RUNNINGBACKS
1st Tier Runningbacks MUST Start: .
Willie Parker
Joseph Addai
Maurice Jones-Drew
Brian Westbrook - Check injury status
Stephen Jackson
LaDainian Tomlinson
2nd Tier Runningbacks You have to Start:
Reggie Bush
Reggie Bush
Adrian Peterson (Chicago)
Jamal Lewis
Marion Barber
Willis McGahee
Kevin Faulk
Ernest Graham
Justin Fargas
Thomas Jones
Clinton Portis
Frank Gore
Kolby Smith
3rd Tier Runningbacks Start At Your Own Risk(Big Payoff or Big Fall):
Derrick Ward - If he plays in a solid #2 Runningback. Start him.
Adrian Peterson (Minnesota) - If he's plays he won't get all the carries and will probably go easy on his knees. On the other hand its Detroit and he could have a filed day. Choose wisely.
Warrick Dunn - Dunn can own the Rams and take over the game. The question is, do you trust him? We think you should.
Maurice Morris - He'll get his carries, but don't be surprised if the Eagles hold him and force Hasslebeck to pass more. Consider him a low #3 runningback this week.
Edgerrin James - You tell me? Good match up, but Arizona passes way too much.
4th Tier Runningbacks MUST BENCH:
Jessie Chatman
Jessie Chatman
Kevin Jones

Marques Colston
Chris Chambers
Roddy White

Ronald Curry
Calvin Johnson
Santana Moss
Chris Henry
Deion Branch
Justin Gage
Shaun McDonald
Isaac Bruce
Jerricho Cotchery
Steve Smith
Benard Berrian
Donte Stallworth
Joe Jurevicius
Anthony Gonzalez
3rd Tier Wide Receivers Start At Your Own Risk(Big Payoff or Big Fall):
Lee Evans - Edwards is starting and that's not good for Evans. However, Washington is without its best defensive player and can be passed on.
Dwayne Bowe - He's got the rookie throwing to him, but a soft defense. Its a hard call. We like the match up, just worry about the QB.
Kevin Curits - This is a great match up for Curtis, but we don't know which QB will throw to him and if he can get the ball in his hands. Very risky.
4th Tier Wide Receivers MUST BENCH:
Brandon Stokley
Marty Booker
David Patten
Antwaan Randle El
M. Muhammad
Jerry Porter
Jerry Porter
Vincent Jackson
TIGHT ENDS
1st Tier Tight Ends MUST Start:

2nd Tier Tight Ends You have to Start:
Tony Gonzalez
Jeremy Shockey
Dallas Clark
Bo Scaife
LJ Smith
Tony Scheffler
3rd Tier Tight Ends Start At Your Own Risk(Big Payoff or Big Fall):

4th Tier Tight Ends MUST BENCH:
Eric Johnson
Alge Crumpler
Desmond Clark
Randy McMichaels
Marcus Pollard
Mercedes Lewis
Chris Baker

Tennessee
Dallas
NY Giants
Houston
Detroit
Indianapolis
Indianapolis
Philadelphia
Minnesota
Minnesota
Chicago
Tampa Bay
3rd Tier Defenses Start At Your Own Risk:
Washington - This defense is playing the the death of its best player. Its really hard to deal with that, andlose such a valuable memeber of the team. We do expect hem to come out and play the best game of their lives.
Atlanta - If Bulger is out, play them. If he's in, bench them.
Kansas City - Its a good match up for them, but in the end they have a rookie QB so they could be on the field allot.
4th Tier Defenses MUST BENCH:
San Francisco
Baltimore
Jacksonville
Oakland
Arizona
New Orleans
Denver
Green Bay
Miami
Carolina
Cleveland
Cincinnati
Buffalo
We are no longer going to do kickers. They are way to hard to predict. and most teams only have one anyway. If you need to find a kicker cause of a BYE week base your decisions on 3 factors:
1. Is the kicker kicking in a Dome? (that's good)
1. Is the kicker kicking in a Dome? (that's good)
2. Is the Defense the kicker facing a tough defense?
3. Is the kicker's offense very good?
3. Is the kicker's offense very good?
