Here is the review of our picks and how they stacked up:
QUARTERBACKS (15/19 79%)
1st Tier Quarterbacks WE RECOMMENDED AS MUST Start:
We recommended 7 QB's as must starts. All but one had great games and that one was Carson Palmer. Derek Anderson through for Romo and Farve were amazing, and Big Ben did fabulous.
2nd Tier Quarterbacks WE RECOMMENDED You have to Start:
4th Tier Quaterbacks WE RECOMMENDED MUST BENCH:
RUNNINGBACKS (9/20 45%)
1st Tier Runningbacks WE RECOMMENDED MUST Start:
d 8 Top tier RB's selected. We called Stephen Jackson correct, who was suspect. We also Marshan Lynch and Willis McGahee. We got burned by Barber and Kevin Jones.
2nd Tier Runningbacks WE RECOMMENDED You have to Start:
Here we did poorly. We will start with the good picks cause there ain't many. Brian Westbrook was a one man wrecking crew against a solid defense. Reggie Bush and Fargas has solid games. Now for the bad, Jacobs, Foster, White, James, and more burned us and did it badly. This truly was a terrible week for RB's. Overall only 1 RB (Westbrook) got more than 1 TD rushing and receiving. The next was Stephen Jackson with 1 rushing and 1 throwing.
4th Tier Runningbacks WE RECOMMENDED MUST BENCH:
We normally do well in telling you who to bench, but here we were awful. Portis and Grant burned us. We admit it, and move on.
1st Tier Wide Receivers WE RECOMMENDED MUST Start:
2nd Tier Wide Receivers WE RECOMMENDED You have to Start:
We did much better in the 2nd tier leading the way was Berrian and Crayton. After Crayton was shutout last week, we knew he was due. Edwards only had one catch, but he made it count. Chambers, Randle El, and Chad Johnson were some of the busts.
4th Tier Wide Receivers WE RECOMMENDED MUST BENCH:
We recommended benching 7 WRs, and we were on target with all of them.
We don't consider Justin Gage saving the Tennessee WR's. They are awful.
Tight Ends To Start:
Wow, terrible week for top tier TE's. We chose 5, and only Heath Miller did well. If Dallas Clark had played, he'd have done bad as well.
We did much better in this tier. Donald Lee and Kevin Winslow had great games along with Shockey and Eric Johnson.
Tight Ends To BENCH:
We recommended benching Bubba Franks and Alge Crumpler this week. We hope you did!, but we also told you to bench LJ Smith and Leonard Pope, and they burned us bad.
1st Tier Defenses MUST Start:
2nd Tier Defenses You have to Start:
4th Tier Defenses MUST BENCH:
Can you believe Denver and Cincinnati burned us? Outside of those 2 picks, the rest were correct and most were easy picks.
Buffalo, DEF - 10 points and a sack. Not bad for a sleeper. Especially if your defense had the BYE.
Donald Lee, GB (TE) - We said Martin, but had sleepy on the brain. We meant Donald Lee. 2 TD's. Great pick!
Damon Huard KAN (QB) - Horrible let down. Bad Pick!
Isaac Bruce, STL (WR) - This is what we said last week: Bruce will look to light up Arizona and get a first win. We see him getting 5-6 catches and 1 TD) Were we right or were we right?
Warrick Dunn, ATL (WR) - 89 yards and a TD. SUCCESS!
Priest Holmes KAN (RB)- Nothing much, bad pick.
Chris Henry, CIN (WR) - 4 catches and 99 yards. In a receptions league not bad. GOOD PICK!
Maurice Morris, SEA (RB) - Great week. A ton of yards and a touchdown. GOOD PICK!
Amani Toomer, NYG (WR) - We expected more, and got less. BAD PICK!
Devery Henderson, NOR (WR) - Never again Devery, you stink. BAD PICK!
