"Start at your own risk "calls or players that did not play due to injuries were not counted.
We had the worst week of the 2007 season this week with an overall average of 60% correct calls. QBs and WRs really killed us.
Here is the review of our picks and how they stacked up:
QUARTERBACKS (8/17 47%)
1st Tier Quarterbacks WE RECOMMENDED AS MUST Start:
We recommended 6 QB's as must starts. Jon Kitna who has proven his inconsistency bombed big time this week. Carson Palmer only found the end zone once when we were expecting 3 TDs. Romo played well even though he only got 1TD. 31 completions is great with 277 yards. Garcia was a great call with 2 TDs and over 300 yards. I need not mention how good Brady was. Every sports channel in the world took care of that.
2nd Tier Quarterbacks WE RECOMMENDED You have to Start:
4th Tier Quaterbacks WE RECOMMENDED MUST BENCH:
RUNNINGBACKS (14/20 70%)
1st Tier Runningbacks WE RECOMMENDED MUST Start:
We found our best success of the week with RBs. In the first tier we found success accept for Thomas Jones and Joseph Addai. We really expected Addai to get more carries. Willie Parker didn't find the end zone, but got 131 total yards and 4 receptions. All the other RBs found the end zone and had great games.
2nd Tier Runningbacks WE RECOMMENDED You have to Start:
We had many 2nd tier Runningbacks this week. Our successes were B. Jacobs with over 100 yards and a TD, Lendall White, Maurice Jones-Drew, and even Brian Westbrook who we have come to expect lots of yards and catches, but few TDs. Norwood/Dunn, Edgerrin James, and LaMont Jordan were complete let downs this week.
4th Tier Runningbacks WE RECOMMENDED MUST BENCH:
We recommended benching 7 RBs this week, the most we've ever had. All but 2 were correct. Marshan Lynch had a great game and even though Portis only got 43, he managed to get 2 TDs.
1st Tier Wide Receivers WE RECOMMENDED MUST Start:
We had great success in our 1st tier of WRs. We told you to start T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Terrell Owens, Plaxico Buress, Randy Moss, Laveranues Coles , Reggie Wayne, and Dwayne Bowe.
Patrick Crayton , Chad Johnson, and Roy Williams did not have good weeks.
2nd Tier Wide Receivers WE RECOMMENDED You have to Start:
We never expect as much from our 2nd tier WRs has we do from our 1st tier. Larry Fitzgerald,
Wes Welker, and Jerricho Cotchery had great games. All of the following let us down having subpar games:
Bobby Engram
Torry Holt
Marvin Harrison
Marques Colston
Shaun McDonald
Joey Galloway
Santana Moss
4th Tier Wide Receivers WE RECOMMENDED MUST BENCH:
We recommended benching 3 WRs, and we were wrong on 1 of them, Donte Stallworth.
Javon Walker had surgery on his knee after we made our called, and Lee Evans was a bust.
Tight Ends To Start:
From the start this was a tough week for TEs. Benjamin Watson ended up sitting out with an injury. Whitten, Shockey, and Clark had great games.. Chris Cooley did not.
Desmond Clark, Alge Crumpler, David Martin were all bad this week. Heath Miller had 2 TDs and was awesome. Tony Gonzalez was solid, but not good enough.
Tight Ends To BENCH:
We recommended benching Randy McMichaels, Greg Olson, and
and Bo Scaife. We hope you did!
1st Tier Defenses MUST Start:
2nd Tier Defenses You have to Start:
4th Tier Defenses MUST BENCH:
Hopefully you benched Miami, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, and NY Jets. Minnesota had a good game and got a TD, so we called that one wrong.
David Patten (WR) - BAD PICK. Last week we gave up on Devrey Henderson, and this week he gets the TD.
Dallas (DEF) - Great game. A TD, and only gave up 1 TD.
Chad Pennington (QB) - 3 TDs, and a ton of yards. Great call!
Kevin Faulk (RB) - Bad call. All Brady, all the time.
Cedric Benson (RB) - BAD CALL. I've lost all faith in this guy.
