Week 6 The True GURU Picks & Sleepers In Review

Week 6 has been here and is gone. It was a pretty good week for us. Here are the numbers on our calls:
QB's 8/13 Correct ( 62%)
RB's 14/21 Correct (67%)
WR's 14/21 Correct ( 67%)
TE's 6/12 Correct (50%)
DEF's 12/16 Correct (75%)

OVERALL: 54/83 Correct (65%)
"Start at your own risk "calls or players that did not play due to injuries were not counted.

We had a OK week with our calls. Again we had great success on defenses calling them correct at 75%, but failed on TEs. WR and RBs predictions were solid with getting 67% out of each. Finally, QBs were below average at 62% correct calls. McNabb and Rivers did the damage there. Overall 65$ correct out of 83 calls is very solid. Below is the review:

Here is the review of our picks and how they stacked up:

QUARTERBACKS (8/13 62%)

1st Tier Quarterbacks WE RECOMMENDED AS MUST Start:
We recommended 5 QB's as must starts. Palmer, Brady, and Romo were great, but McNabb, and Rivers were let downs this week.

2nd Tier Quarterbacks WE RECOMMENDED You have to Start:
Farve and Pennington were disappointments, and Warner left the game with an injury. That being said, Hasselbeck was outstanding, and Garcia and Manning were very solid.

4th Tier Quaterbacks WE RECOMMENDED MUST BENCH:
We only recommended benching 2 QB's and both were successful. One didn't start (Carr) and that was a good thing.

RUNNINGBACKS (14/21 67%)

1st Tier Runningbacks WE RECOMMENDED MUST Start:
There were allot of good RB's to start this week. Ronnie Brown had over 170 total yards and 9 receptions and Willis Mcgahee got 70 and a TD. Other great performances for out to Larry Johnson (Congrats on your first TD), Westbrook, and 4 TD's from LT! Rudi Johnson, Marion Barber, and Jacobs were disappointments.

2nd Tier Runningbacks WE RECOMMENDED You have to Start:
Again, many 2nd tier runningbacks. Maurice Jones-Drew was phenomenal, along with Derrick Ward and E. James having great games. Lamont Jordan nearly had a career day, while Reggie Bush put up 140 total yards. Bad performances were DeShaun Foster, and Sammy Morris, who got hurt against Dallas.

4th Tier Runningbacks WE RECOMMENDED MUST BENCH:
Julius Jones did little or nothing, while Cedric Benson has become a joke, and the Green Bay RB's amassed 48 yards and TD. Nothing to write home to mom about. Portis was sad as usual with a fumble, and Leonard wasn't anything this week as we expected. Thomas Jones had 130 yards running and the Tennessee RB's got a TD and nearly 100 yards, so they burned us. Not by allot, but burned us.
WIDE RECEIVERS (14/21 67%)
1st Tier Wide Receivers WE RECOMMENDED MUST Start:
Braylon Edwards and TJ Houshmandzadeh had great games, along with Terrell Owens, Donte Stallworth, and Plaxico Buress.we and Fitzgerald had awful games, and were disappointments.

2nd Tier Wide Receivers WE RECOMMENDED You have to Start:
Berrian and Colston finally got in the end zone, and Patrick Crayton scored for the 3rd straight week. Randy Moss didn't do a ton, but got a TD. Mason, Coles, and Cotchery were huge disappointments. However Engram had a great game with 9 catches and 120 yards, but no TDs.
Kevin Curtis has a huge 75 pass TD and over 100 yards for a awesome day, and finally Donald Driver had a bad day with less than 40 yards receiving.

4th Tier Wide Receivers WE RECOMMENDED MUST BENCH:
If you benched Vincent Jackson, James Jones, and Jerry Porter than you did real good.
TIGHT ENDS (6/12 50%)

Tight Ends To Start:
Tight Ends were not a factor this week in many games. Winslow had a solid game, but LJ Smith, Whitten, Gates, and Watson were bad. Jeremy Shockey was solid or a Tight End on a bad TE week.
2nd Tier Tight Ends You have to Start:
Tony Gonzalez with 2 TD's and Cooley with 1 TD were great, but Bo was nowhere to be found.

Tight Ends To BENCH:
We only recommended benching Bubba Franks, Owen Daniels, Alge Crumpler. We hope you did!
DEFENSES (12/16 75%)
1st Tier Defenses MUST Start:
Baltimore, Jacksonville, and Tampa Bay were all solid, but Minnesota and Chicago were bad. Chicago did get a special teams TD.

2nd Tier Defenses You have to Start:
New Orleans, Philly and Tennessee showed up and played well, but Houston and Seattle stunk!

4th Tier Defenses MUST BENCH:

Hopefully you benched Miami, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Kansas City, and NY Jets.

SLEEPERS (7/10 70%)

Overall our sleepers were EXCELLENT. Calling Adrian Peterson against the Bears and Derek Anderson were great calls. We did screw up on a couple of WRs. We expected allot more from Brown and Jennings, but got squat. Cleo Lemon was another surprise call, and despite not scoring a TD, the San Diego defense had a great game. The Bears TE's were a toss up, but after watching how terrible TE's were this week, 8 total catches for over 100 yards isn't bad. We got 7 out of 10 correct for a 70% success rate. Here are the reviews:

Cleo Lemon (QB) - Great CALL! Had a huge game, 256 yards and 2 TDs.

Devery Henderson (WR) - Bad pick. This guy is fading with Patten emerging.

Adrian Peterson (RB) - AMAZING GAME, and our call of the week. 224 yards and 3 TDs.
Benard Berrian (WR) - Got his first TD and looked very good.
Jason Wright (RB) - Score and tacked on nearly 100 total yards.

Reggie Brown (WR) - Terrible game, aweful call.
Greg Jennings (WR) - Tough Game, bad call.
San Diego Chargers Defense - 2 INT's, 5 sacks, a funble, and only 14 points very good game.
Derek Anderson (QB) - GREAT CALL! 4 TD's and 245 yards. you can't do much better.
Desmond Clark/ Greg Olsen (TE) - Combined for 111 yards and 8 catches. Maybe that is good for you and maybe not.
