The True GURU Has a 2-1 week in his Fantasy Football Leagues!

Week 8 was a tough week to contend with. Not only was I fighting off one of the worst BYE weeks of the season, but the injury bug hit me in 2 of the 3 leagues. With all of that it was just too much and I fell for the first time in my FOX Sports league. I did manage to pull off the biggest win of the season in the CBS League and I'm now alone in first place in my division. The Yahoo! league I still stand at 8-0 with some tricky play and some serious luck. The bust this week for me was Anthony Gonzalez. I picked him up and started him in every league to fill in for BYE week losses and he did squat.

FOX Sports League - Peaceful Warriors (5-3) 90.2 - LV Cowboys (7-1) 85.4
I made the classic mistake in this league that all experts and regular managers make. I went against my gut feeling for a big payoff, big fallout player. I actually benched M. Colston in favor of Anthony Gonzalez. Colston scored 23+ points, and Gonzalez 1.6. I only lost by 5 points, so there is my first defeat in this league in a nutshell.
CBS Sportsline - LV Cowboys (6-2) 156 - Go Bog or Go Home (5-3) 122
This was a critical match up against the team that was tied with me for the division lead. I had two of my best players on a BYE week in Marion Barber and Larry Fitzgerald. Despite that I got a great game from Derek Anderson, Brian Westbrook, Braylon Edwards, and Antonio Gates and easily pulled out this victory. Next week will be the NEW biggest match up of my season and the last. I play The GOAT and as you can see he's 1 game out of the division lead and is the current points leader. Of course he has Tom Brady. I will match him with either Jon Kitna or Derek Anderson.Yahoo! League LV Cowboys (8-0) 68.53 - DamKids (4-4) 65.21
This was a great matchup. Again, I was hammered by the BYE week and was without Tony Romo and had to go with my backup Carson Palmer. I also was without Jones-Drew. This game went all the way to Monday with Damkids having Green Bay's starting RB D. Wynn and I had no one left and was nursing a 3-4 point lead. Wynn only got 1 yard that game as was knocked out with a season ending injury. With that I was able to hold off the near upset and maintain my perfect season.
